The Sheraton Hotel in Lisbon August 2010

I and Honey choosed Sheraton Hotel & Spa in Lisbon.

It is excellent hospitality hotel. Luckily We could stayed business room. We were very satisfied about their service and hospitality.

We went to hotel by Taxi from airport. it is just 10min away to hotel. 10euro include charge of luggages

We arrived at hotel a bit early so we should wait one more hour wait in order to check in the room. There are two small shopping mall next to the hote.

we ate quick lunch there....

After check in...around 2pm. I and Honey went out to the city center by foot. it took us 20min to get center of Lisbon.

Information center is on the Rossio square and then a few more minute walk away,,,there is miain shopping street is called Rua de Augusta in Bixa area.

First of all, We went to "Se Catedral" and then walked around Augusta shopping area.

Secondly, we visited "Castelo de Sao Jorge" when it was going to the time of sun set.

Sao Jorge is on the hill and be able to wach down whole Lisbon city. I really recommend to visit Sao Jorge in the evening.

The road in Lisbon make us tierd easily because most of road are stone road, moreover, its is not flat stone. I think that I was first time to see and walk on the stone road all over in the city.

There are some cafe which sell egg tart. One of popular cafe is on the begining of Rua de Augusta road.

Pottery shop is called "Pollux" is on the "Rua da Madalena " street just a few alley away from the Augusta street.

Finally, We sat down and ate dinner in the cafe restaurant on Augusta street.

I had grilled Fish and Honey had Grilled Beef with olive! mmm...olive in Portugul is very fresh and tasty! I love that! Meal is 8 to 9euro per person, it was great price! ofcause its tasty!

We went back to the hotel by Metro! It is 0.80euro one way!

The second day in Lisbon

I have got a information about Free Bus from city center to outlet mall which is called "Free Port" and the lagest outlet mall in europe.

The bus leave at 10am from Praca Marques de Pombal bus station. this station is stop city sight seen bus as well.

Free bus is double deck bus and drive on the main street in the city to along sea side and then accross the bridge to outlet mall.

This rute is quite nice view we could see...especially when we accross the bridge! outstading! around 45min.

I wanted to go to Zara and Mango....(because there is nothing very special shop....) About Zara,, it is not real ZARA brand..Products are designed by Zara only!

About Mango,,,it is huge discounted but there are not many clothes in the shop. I bought some anyway...

and I got several of underwear.

We are quiet regret about outlet mall so we go back to city at 1pm bus. anyway it worth to take Free bus for sight seen.

After we came back from outlet mall....we took a break time in the hotel and went out to shopping mall in Oriente area by Metro.

Finally, I got two of Zara dress! Thank you Honey!

There is big supermarket underground of the mall. I bought many type of canded contained Fish! I love local supermarket!

We ate Grilled chicken in the food court in the mall. It was unexpected delicious!

Sintra by Train (The Third day in Lisbon)

The train go to Sintra from Rossio train station leave every 15min. about 45 min away from Rossio by train. just around 4euro for return ticket per person.

シントラＳｔａｔｉｏｎ内にある案内所で人気の観光ルートを教えてくれる。多くの人がそのルートに沿って観光していた。バスが3箇所ほどのポイントを通ってくれるので、好きなポイントで降りて観光するというもの。バスの料金は4.50ユーロぐらいだったかな。

私とＨｏｎｅｙはＰａｌａｃｉｏ　ｄａ　Ｐｅｎａのお城だけ観光。ドイツ人がデザインしたと言うだけあって、ドイツの古城の雰囲気に似ていて可愛い！でも、小さいし、城内も特別綺麗な訳ではなかった。。。

バスの便数が少ないので待ち時間も長い。特に、Ｐｅｎａなから多くの人が乗り降りするので時間帯によってかなり待つ。私たちも帰りは1時間近くまったかも？？

バスはシントラの中心の町でも停まるので、私とＨｏｎｅｙも降りて、町を散策。お土産Ｓｈｏｐなども沢山歩けど、とても小さい町。30分ぐらい滞在してすぐにまたバスでシントラ駅へ向かいました。

ん、、、”シントラ”は特別な町という印象派受けなかったけれど、私たちにはたっぷり時間もあったし、適度なＯｎｅ　ｄａｙ　Ｔｒｉｐだったかな？？？

夕食はポルトガルで有名な「海鮮リゾット」をグリルチキンをＢｉｘａの近くで食べました。Ａｕｇｕｓｔａ通りから2つほど横の通りで、いくつかのレストランがあり、私たちはお客さんが一番多いお店へ。

料金も8から10ユーロで食べれるので、リーズナブルの上、美味しい！

Sheraton Hotel Spa (The fourth day in Lisbon)

I and Honey almost spent whole day in the hotel spa and had a relax time!

Hotel guest also need to pay additional fee for using Sheraton spa room and swimming pool.

12.50euro per person. I feel that it is not expensive if you use all facility in spa. There supply some lite food and drink when you are early morning. Tea and water are free and sometimes staff give us some fruit.

For Honey...this time was the most expected and enjoyable time in this holiday!

In the evening....We went out for exploring spanish department shop near from the Hotel. I love spanish food! so I was really rexpected to go there and buy some spanish foods for dinner.

also...I found nice shose shop which made in portugul. nice design and high quality. At that time was end of summer sale....so some of shoses were 70% off! I got a pair of shose for 20 to 30euro.

When I fnished dinner...We enjoyed in the hotel spa untill 10pm.

Jeronimos and Egg Tart in Belem

Free admission on Sunday in Lisbon! so We visited Museum National de Arte Antiga and Mosteiro dos Jeronmios. We bought Day ticket included in Metro, Bus, Tram.... It is about 3.60euro per person. so cheap!

We took No.15 Tram from Bixa to get there. Museum do not have huge collections but its are exhibited very properly and also there are some collections from Japan. I think that it is good to see when museum is free admission.

just took no.15 tram from the stop in fromt of Museum and take off in the Belem stop where are some of tourism attractions.

There were long queue to gointo Charch. I do not know it is usual? we had been in the queue for more than one hour.(There were wedding going on....so may be only a few people could go in at same time??!!)

In personal, I could not feel that inside of charch was very nice!! Anyway it is one of famous place in Lisbon. Should go once...

There are Jeronimos museum and Archaeology museum Next to charch. Both place are also free on Sunday before 2pm.

[Antiga Confeitaria de Belem]★★★★★

In fact,,,,Before going to visit charch, We ate the most famous Egg tart in Belem. The cafe is on the[ Rua de Belem] street which is just opposite from Tram stop in Belem. The Egg tart of this cafe is extremely famous and delicious. Must try! 0.90euro each.

After that...I and Honey walked to sea side that there is [Descobrimentos] monument. and later...We took tram to go back to Bixa.

It is very popular tram to Alfama area where has great scenery from the Hill.

It is also famous attraction conect from Paraca dos Restauradores toBairro Alto area. There is also nice city view on the hill with a little park.

Finally...We had dinner in the cafe restaurant which is on the main street " Rua de Augusta". I ordered Grilled Fish and Honey ate Grilled Pork. about 8 to 9euro each plate.

We went back to hotel by Bus from Praca da Figueira.

All Day In The Sheraton Hotel (the sixth day)

We spent all day in the Spa room In the Sheraton Hotel. It was second time to us to enjoy the spa and pool in the hotel durling this holiday.

bcause of weekday...there are fewer people useing spa and swimming pool.

In the evening, We went out for dinner and shopping to Bixa.

I bought two Portugul hand made plates in the Pollux. it was about 10euro each.

I have cheked the price of pottery in some place include in some shops in Sintra but The pollux is the cheapest!

It does not seems like high quality even product in the Pollux; however, I got two for my plates correction!

Then...We had dinner in the restaurant which we ate in a few days ago...it is located the next alley from Rua Augusta. There are some restaurant in the same alley but seems it is the most popular restaurant so we decided to eat here.

We ate Fish soup, Rice of Octopus and griled Squid. Even though most of dishes we ate tast a bit salty for us. But I really love Rice of Octopus a lot!! Delicious!

The Last day in Lisbon

we checked out the hotel at afternoon and went to Spanish Departmentment store [El Corte Ingles] again in order to buy some spanish ham. We also bought some egg tarte in side of department shop. it is 0.60euro a piece and taste is was good.

We ate lunch in the local small Restaurant cafe which is next to department shop. Gliled Pork and deep fried shurimp with rice. Its tast so so...anyway cheap! The price of each palate is around 6to 8euro only.

Oops...I almost forget to talk about my Shoose! I bought two pair of shoses in the local famous shooe shop which is next door from department shop! Thank You... Honey! Ireally Love these shoses and Love you!

I want to go [Zilian] shose shop again....

We had a great holiday in Lisbon. I have shopped a lot...and Honey have had relax time a lot in the hotel's spa!

And we met many local people who are very kind and gave us really hospitality service. We are very satisflied how they treated us. I Love Portugul and Portuguese.
